Autumn Opulence

It is done!! Finished putting the binding on last night...It is called 'Autumn Opulence' taken from Fabric Trends Fall 2009. What a joy this has been to make for my friend. Quilt designed by Pine Tree Country Quilts for Henry Glass & Co. Opulence fabric designed by Brenda Pinnick, of Stillwater, Maine. It was quilted by Ann on her long arm.
Also note my header: ...This is the ice jam that happened within minutes a couple of weeks ago and caused considerable flooding along the Kennebec River from Augusta-Gardiner, Maine. This view is in Farmingdale and the ice jam is 2 miles or longer and we all await how it will empty itself. Everyone along the river is anxious and ready to move to higher ground if it lets go.

Your quilt is lovely!
That ice jam is amazing - hopefully it won't cause major damage.

What a great name to describe this special quilt! The quilting on it is really nice too, just perfect!

It is just beautiful, Margo, and I like the quilting design very much too. We were out yesterday taking pictures of the ice jam too. Amazing!

When I was in Farmingdale taking pics I almost got run over...I was crossing in a crosswalk and a car going too fast jammed his brakes behind a car that was stopped and headed for me...thankfully he did not make contact with either of us...a little nerve wracking...so much traffic and praying we will not have so much rain and cause a flood...never seen it like this ever....

Glad that you are ok, what a scary experience.
Your quilt is very lovely, the colors, the pattern, and the quilting.
