This is what I am working on...I did a block of the month with Judy Laquidara beginning in Nov, 2008 and the blocks have been sitting. So I finally decided to get it out and put it together. It has been a challenge. I am ready now to put the 5 borders on. The third one is a pieced ribbon border and I am toying with the idea of scratching that and doing my own thing. We will see!!BELOW
I entered a block into the Waterford Fair. Out of the 27 entries there were 5 winners and mine was #3. It is a very small fair that we and our friends discovered 3 years ago. The blocks are used to make a quilt for the next year and raffled off.
This was the block I entered. It is my own design that I have used in a couple of other quilts. It is needle turn applique and embroidery. The colors were to be white/green/blue. Their theme was blueberries.
