New Years Mystery lap quilt addition

I added a new pic with the 6" border I decided to put on it. 1.6.09

Planet Patchwork offered a one day mystery quilt called "Have a nice trip" They posted cutting requirements ahead and then posted in hourly segments instructions from 10:00am to 3:00pm est. I started at 11:00am with nothing pulled or cut...I have an QuiltCut2 that was so helpful in keeping up with them. I Finished and sent them a pic last night.
Pulling colors from my stash is not a strong point of mine. I just grabbed and cut not knowing what we were making. I was pleased with the result...the size is 55 x 43 but I will add another border to enlarge it. A stretching time for me...had never done a mystery...Fun project for a snowy New Year's day.

Very nice, Margo. Our guild had a mystery quilt last year and I just couldn't bring myself to do it. Maybe one of these days. I like your fabric choices.

You've got some great spaces for quilting. What a good way to spend a very snowy day in Maine.

Just dropping by to wish another "Mainiac" a happy new 2010! And to see some more pretty quilts.
