Our group took a trip to Sewing by the Sea in Trenton a few months ago and they demonstrated how to make a runner using the 60 degree cut on the ends. One of the gals, Pauline(above) came home and held a workshop for us. The choice of material is the making of it. Some of them are so beautiful. Saturday I went to
Fabric Garden in Madison and they had many fabrics that would make beautiful ones. We used a micro stitch gun (size 11/64" fasteners) to tack it together to line it up which is very important. I used Jinny Byer material for mine (below)

This table runner was sent to Tn. for my son, Mike and daughter in law, Nancy . He surprised all of us and came home for his brother's 50th birthday party. Had not seen him for a couple of years.

Very cool, Margo! I am so partial to Jinny Beyer fabrics and especially like all the different things you can do with her border stripes. Wonderful choice. I'd be interested to know how you used the microtack gun for your project. Lining up the match for the miter is always a trick for me to get it right.
Beautiful! Maybe you could teach a workshop at BR, I'd love to make one, too.
Nice fabric choice! The Christmas one is fun also.
Your table runner is very pretty. I want to try my hand at table runners in the near future.
I love table runners and table toppers, and that is a really pretty one. I'll bet your son and DIL love it. It must have been wonderful to have the surprise visit.
Oh we did these too just before Christmas in a group I sew with. I made lots of them. I love 'em and the challenge to get it right. Your fabric choice is beautiful.
